CONRAD – (based on Chechov’s Konstantin Gavrilovich Treplev) The protagonist, a struggling playwright. Cynical.
DEV – (based on Semyon Semyonovich Medvedenko) Con’s best friend. In love with Mash.
MASH – (based on Masha) A musician in love with Conrad. Manipulative.
NINA – (based on Nina Mikhailovna Zarechnaya) Con’s love interest. Wants to become a famous actress. Flighty.
EMMA ARKADINA – (based on Irina Nikolayevna Arkadina) Con’s mother. A famous actress. Jaded, jealous, and overbearing.
DOYLE TRIGORIN – (based on Boris Alexeyevich Trigorin) Emma’s lover. A famous and successful novelist.
DR. EUGENE SORN – (based on Sorin) An old friend of Con and Emma’s.
Seeking a diverse group of actors to portray the roles in this play.
Diverse actors to play characters in new plays for a series of new short plays about myths in the Greater Pittsburgh area. These actors may be part of a recurring cast that performs in all performances or they may be in one performance.
